Romney Bay House Hotel is surrounded by beautiful scenery and places of interest.

Dungeness is a 10 minute drive and features the house and garden of the late film-maker Derek Jarman, plus lighthouses and Nature reserve which is ideal for bird-watching.

The Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway, the world’s smallest railway, runs from New Romney to Dungeness in one direction and along to Hythe in the other. The seaside town of Hythe, with its Royal Military Canal is a 15 minute drive from the Romney Bay House Hotel.

The picturesque town of Rye, with its cobbled streets and antique shops, is 20 minutes in the car. And the castles, houses and gardens of Leeds, Bodiam, Sissinghurst and Great Dixter are all under an hour’s drive.

Dover’s White Cliffs and Castle are a 50 minute drive away, and Port Lympne Animal Park is just over 15 minute’s drive.

The Channel Tunnel is a 20 minute journey, with Dover ferry port being 50 minute’s drive away.
