Chef-Proprietor, Clinton, was classically French trained in London after catering college. Having held the positions of Premium Chef at the Royal Garden Hotel, Kensington (where Clinton and Lisa met), Second Chef at the Ritz, Piccadilly, he became Executive Chef at the White House Hotel, Regents Park. Leaving London in 1999 and moving to the Kent coast, he created an 80-seater speciality fish restaurant. Clinton & Lisa bought Romney Bay House in the summer of 2003.
The restaurant is open Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday and offers a set four-course dinner menu at 7.30-for-8.00pm by prior booking only. Typically this consists of fish to start, followed by meat or fowl, pudding, cheese course, coffee & Petits Fours. Produce is locally sourced with fish more often than not (weather permitting!) caught in the waters surrounding the hotel and our excellent butchers Block & Cleaver of Ashford, even make our breakfast sausages. Vegetarians and other dietary requirements/ allergies can be catered for.
